Peace of Mind

Is your church planning to install or upgrade a video production or streaming system? A commitment of thousands of dollars is generally at stake, along with a nagging concern about whether it will produce the results you need.  For a very small fee, I will take an impartial look at any proposal or proposals you have received and apply my 40+ years experience in church and broadcast video to provide reassurance or to provide some pointed questions for your vendor or integrator.  The answers to these questions could possibly save you money, or save you from an inferior system that can’t be scaled up later to meet increasing needs.  Another critical, but often overlooked factor is lighting. The most expensive equipment available cannot produce professional-looking video if lighting is inadequate or improperly placed. Every proposal must have considered this vital component.

Although I’ve designed many systems for churches and educational institutions, I have no financial connections to any equipment sales company or any specific brand of equipment. My only goal is to give you peace of mind that your proposed system has been examined independently and confirmed to meet your stated needs and goals.

Another consideration is ongoing costs once the system is installed and operational.  The more sophisticated the system, the more it requires someone with training and experience to operate and maintain it.  Most churches have an ebb and flow of volunteers, so consideration needs to be given as to how well the system can be operated during the ebbs.

All of these factors can be addressed given the great variety of equipment available, but not all vendors and integrators take all of these variables into account in their designs and proposals.

For a low one-time fee and a list of all of the objectives for your system, I will take any designs and proposals you have received and apply an expert and unbiased second eye to them.  I will deliver you a complete report of my observations, and, if necessary, a list of questions to propose to your vendors and/or integrator to address any discrepancies that I see.

At the minimum, you will receive the peace of mind that your considerable financial investment will meet good engineering standards and will serve your needs well. If concerns are discovered you will have a path to getting them addressed before it is too late.

Feel free to contact me via email at stevan@speheger.com.   Including a bit of information on the size and personality of your church would be helpful. I’d be happy to discuss your individual situation to discover if I can be of service to you.  I can provide references if you desire.
